The Objective

The overall objective was that North West Aluminium was tasked with quantifying, costing and supplying all roofing accessories for the 466 no. lodges at Centre Parcs, Longford for renowned Irish builder John Sisk. As one of the largest construction projects in the country the logistics would only allow for delivery of the various lodges on a very specific schedule.

Building over 3 lodges per day to meet the delivery time of the project it was important that John Sisk had a roofing accessory partner that could meet the logistical demands of the project.

The Process

Our goal was to supply a complete roofing accessory package delivered to site to adhere to the lean construction process that the contractor required. The technical team was tasked with quantifying and detailing a specific accessory package that was to be manufactured and delivered within a tight timeframe. The technical team also was tasked with designing various bespoke aluminium solutions as issues arose throughout the project. These included welded aluminium ridge pieces along with bespoke TV and Fireplace frames in 2mm Aluminium in a Matt Black powder coated finish.

The Result

All 466 lodges were supplied on time for the just in time lean system used by John Sisk and Sons. NWA were also delighted to be able to help John Sisk overcome areas that had been overlooked in the design by designing and manufacturing Bespoke Aluminium products to suit.

The total price for the standard products that were originally priced and supplied stayed exactly on budget.
