The Objective

Kytun were approached by photographer Paul Doherty & Brodie Nugent-O’Leary to supply a range of our innovative, high quality Guaranteed Irish aluminium rainwater products along with a number of bespoke solutions for their self-build.

As a high end architecturally designed home the client wanted neat, clean solutions to the various details.

The Process

Our goal was to give the clients a solution that would provide a functional purpose but to also ensure there was no compromise to the architects and clients vision for the house. Our technical team were tasked with designing and detailing a rafter cover that would ensure the architectural integrity of the project was maintained. 35 bespoke covers were then produced in a matt brown colour to match in with the burnt timber cladding and aluminium soffit.

The Result

Kytun were able to meet the client and Architects requirements for bespoke solutions in keeping with the nature of the build. Providing quality products at competitive rates was vital for the client and we were able to meet their requirements and budget to ensure an outstanding finish.

As you can see from the photographs, we think it is fair to say that their new home is an incredible architectural achievement – from their choice of site to their interior finishing touches. This stylish new home was also awarded the Residential Project of the Year 2020 award by the Irish Construction Industry in the Small Home category. The home also appeared on RTE’s “Room to improve” showcasing the quality of the project.
