CNC Punching Press

Trumpf Trumatic 3000R Punching Press

The TRUMPF Trumatic 3000R enables Kytun to process a diverse range of parts with flexibility. With its innovative punching tools this machine enables the flexible processing of a diverse range of parts. In addition to punching, the machines provide the option to form sheet metal parts. Kytun have also commissioned the manufacture of both a slitting and drip tool for certain materials. The unique punching head design can turn the tool to any angular position. This minimises setup times and increases productivity.

This machine opens a wide range of opportunities for our technical department. If you feel you have a project we may be able to handle please feel free to get in touch.

Welding

MIG Welding

Sometimes referred to as Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), this is a process that utilizes a constantly fed solid electrode, shielding gas from an externally supplied source and electrical power to melt the electrode and leave this molten material in the weld joint.

TIG Welding (Tungsten Inert Gas)

Known as Gas tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), the process uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode that sends the current to the welding arc. The tungsten and weld puddle are safeguarded and cooled with an inert gas, usually argon. As it used a filler material for build-up or reinforcement, TIG welding is like oxy-acetylene welding.

Roll Forming

Capable of producing 4,000 metres of Aluminium trims per day

Roll forming is a continuous profile production process to form sheet metal progressively into a desired shape with closer tolerances.
The process offers several advantages including:

  • Complex geometrical shapes
  • High strength
  • Dimensional accuracy
  • Closer tolerances
  • Good surface finish

The process can also produce thin-walled cross-sections and complex shaped profiles which are difficult to produce by other methods.

In some cases roll-formed profiles have more inherent strength than those produced by other methods.

Powder Coating

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder.

The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form.

The facilities at the Kytun Powder Coating plant include:

  • Box Oven 4.5m x 2.5m x 2.4m
  • Spray Room 5m x 3m x 2.5m
  • Overhead Conveyor System
  • Dip Pre Treatment Tank System (4 stage)
  • Well Drying Oven
